Roles and permissions in seeo

public

Symptoms

  • You are unsure who in your team should have which level of access
  • Someone cannot do something they expect to (for example change a rule)

Cause

This is orientation, not a fault: access in seeo is role-based per organization — viewing footage, acknowledging alerts, and changing configuration are separate levels.

Resolution

  1. Decide per person: do they need to watch, to respond, or to configure?
  2. Ask your seeo administrator to set each person's role to the lowest level that covers their job.
  3. Revisit roles when responsibilities change — especially leavers.

Verification

Each team member can do their job, and configuration changes are limited to the people accountable for them.

Escalate if

You need a permission split the current roles cannot express.
